Nachtrag vom Klemen --> IX. CHALLENGE WEEK CARP CUP HAROMFA 2014 (in english)

24^th March to 29^th March 2014 Haromfa lake Hungary

Carp team BOILIE&MORE SLOVENIJA (JOZE and KLEMEN JAUNIG, and ours friend Saso Malic) competed on 9^thCARP CUP Challenge week. This year carp cup hosted 23 teams from Hungary, Slovakia, Czech, Romania and Slovenia, on the notorious ‘’Green hell’’ lake Haromfa in Hungary.

After the registration the cup started with draw of the swims-fishing places for the first day of fishing- basically the competition lasted 5x 21 hours of fishing – each day we had a draw for the new fishing position. 

After we set the camp and consult where we gone start fishing, the competition starts at 13.00. On this lake, the entire fishing is done by using a boot- because of a lot of see plants (lokvanj). After we place the Key and a tiger nut baits on ours chosen positions the waiting for take started. Not for long, we have take for the right corner rod and soon after the second rod starts screaming. Sadly we lost the first fish because of technical problem (we lost and sunk podmetalka), but caught the second one, a beautiful common carp of 8 kilos. After rebating, when we are still on the water, we had a third take on ours left corner rod- after 15 minutes of battle, we successfully landed our biggest fish of the cup- 13 kilos common carp, before night we cough third fish- almost 10 kilos mirror carp. After first day we are in the second position in overall standings- just 10 kilos behind the first place.

Second day we catch only one carp- 11 kilos mirror carp and a 17 kilos catfish- but catfish not count. The third day we draw the worst position on the entire lake, and caught nothing- after three days of fishing we are in six place overall- 20 kilos behind the first team.

The forth day we caught 2 carps- 5.50 and 9.30 kilos and we are in sixth position overall just 11 kilos behind the first place.

The last draw brought us a position named JURRASIC PARK (see photo) and we catch two carps 6.50 and 8.50 kilos and lost one in the morning. Overall we finished cup on the third place (best no Romania team) and we get invitation from Baricada carp team for Champions challenge carp cup in September/October on world known Raduta lake in Romania. So we need as much possible information about fishing on Raduta lake, and, Sigi, maybe is a good time to make some new boilies.
